TRADITIONAL TRIPLE ROASTING

The three lines of the Mille Soli brand - Mille Soli Caffè Espresso, Mille Soli Bio Caffè Espresso and Mille Soli Caffè Crema - are triple roasted in a special process in Sicily/Italy in a gas-fired drum roaster. Years of experience are the basis of this concept, which allows the beans to roast longer. This gives the Mille Soli Caffès their special, mild character. A good companion for every day! This is ensured by the balanced blend of high-quality Arabica and Robusta beans. We roast each type of bean separately. Only after a resting phase are the beans blended in a ratio specific to each line.

How can espresso beans be roasted for a particularly long and beautiful time? Roasters knew the secret more than 100 years ago: by interrupting the roasting process three times, the beans cool down and can then be roasted longer than usual. Our years of experience are the basis of an optimized concept that allows the beans to be roasted so extraordinarily long and gently.

STAGE 1

A 5-minute roasting removes the residual moisture from the green coffee beans. The beans now have a honey-yellow complexion, and their delicate aroma already hints at the later delicious variety of fully developed coffee flavors.

STAGE 2

After a cooling air-mist bath, the second roasting phase begins at about 120 to 205 °C. The beans are now hazelnut-brown in color. The now hazelnut-brown beans exude the incomparable aroma of freshly roasted coffee.

STAGE 3

Following another cooling phase comes the most important roasting stage: the beans acquire their classic chocolate color. The master roaster's trained eye and many years of experience determine the optimal degree of roasting for first-class quality.
