What is coffee lungo?
Lungo" is the name given to a different way of preparing espresso. Lungo means long in Italian, which is due to the longer brewing time during preparation. It is usually made in a portafilter machine. The difference with Lungo coffee pods is that more water is run through the portafilter. Due to the longer run-through time, the Lungo is less intense than an espresso. So if you like a mild aroma, medium intensity, fine crema and a light coffee taste, you will certainly enjoy our E.S.E coffee pods Lungo. Lungo coffee pods also provide a very good base for other hot drinks, such as cappuccino and latte macchiato, as Lungo coffee combines better than a strong espresso.

Our organic coffee pods are available from the MariaSole and Mille Soli brands. They differ in the composition as well as in their roasting. MariaSole is roasted over wood fire, while Mille Soli coffee beans are triple roasted in a gas-fired drum roaster. TRE FORZE! Caffè Espresso Pads shines with coffee beans roasted over an open flame, with olive wood from volcano Etna. However, among our Lungo coffee pods, there is still the option of Caffè Crema pods from Mille Soli and MariaSole. With extra thick crema, these two are a nice companion for every day.
